Our
Beginning... |

Bob and Norine Canney founded Shamrock
Construction Company in 1971 in Newhall,
Iowa. In 1972 they moved the
company to Coralville and became one of
the Iowa City/Coralville area's asphalt
paving companies. |

|
In March 2003, after the death of Bob
Canney in 2002, River Products Company,
Inc. of Iowa City purchased a majority
of the assets of the company and formed
a new corporation called Shamrock
Construction Company, L. L. C.
They remain one of the premier Iowa
City/Coralville's asphalt paving
companies. |

The company is managed by Frank "Scotty"
Scott of rural Iowa City. Frank
has over 35 years of experience in the
industry from driveways to interstate
paving. |
| |
|
Many of the faces of the crew will look
familiar as the employees of the old
company were hired by the newly
organized Shamrock Construction Company,
L. L. C. Danny Andrew, Terry
Miller, Lawrence Graper and Jim Weno
make up a combined total of almost 100
years of experience with Shamrock
Construction Company. Newcomers
Tobias King, Jerry Short and Josh King
are learning from some of the areas
best. |
